Never Wake a Sleeping Dragon
Who: Hermione Granger and the residents of Wes's house
What: Checking up on a friend
Where: ...Wes's house. And maybe Dok's too.
When: First thing Saturday morning
Why: Because public forum posts can make a person worry.
Hermione didn't sleep well. She wasn't entirely sure why, but the forum posts from the night before reminded her of the rise of Voldemort. Someone everyone thought had gone, returning and striking fear in the hearts of good people, causing murder and mayhem...
She was getting ahead of herself. She had no reason to believe that this stranger was anything like Voldemort, or that he would even harm people... but she saw the way he upset Dok, with only a few words. And dear God, it was hard not to jump to the obvious conclusion. So, as soon as she saw the sun, she got up, dressed, and slipped out of the house. Then, she disapparated and went to the house she knew to be Wes's. She hadn't warned him she was coming, but it was early enough, she didn't think he would have left the house yet. And she might be waking him up, but she had the feeling he'd forgive her.
"Wes?" she called out, knocking on the front door. "Wes, are you there?"
