Nokoru's peculiar sixth sense never misled him. There was definitely a lady in some distress around here. Otherwise there was no explanation for why he'd have felt compelled to walk downtown on this particular afternoon - though it was a lovely day, and the walking caused him no inconvenience.
He passed the ice cream shop and drew even with Teaspoons, where he paused to get his bearings. Sometimes he knew right where the problem was, but other times, like now, he almost had to triangulate inward until he found it. He could tell he was getting close, but which direction..?
