Father Mulcahy always thought that priests had rather a lot to do--not just in their communities and with their flocks, although that was part of it. However, taking care of a church was quite another matter. He'd known churches where the congregation took care of the building itself, but Father Mulcahy was happy enough to have a few church attendees here in Aternaville, and he didn't want to lose attendees by insisting that they cleaned the church.
Besides, on the days that nobody stopped by the church and he didn't have anything else to do, cleaning kept him occupied. Father Mulcahy wouldn't say he enjoyed it, but it wasn't absolutely terrible, and he could think about other things while he was doing it.
Tonight, he was sweeping the floor while he was waiting to meet Integra. It sounded as though he hadn't had an easy time with priests of any kind, and Father Mulcahy hoped to reassure the man that priests were not all monsters. (He assumed Integra was a man, because why else would someone be called "Sir"?)
