There was moping about the house all day and then there was plain old moping and Rose was definitely not doing the former. She sank down on a stool in the mansion's kitchen, staring at the tea kettle on the stove top, willing it to heat faster, so she could hold on to something warm. Yup, still in her pajamas. It was as he feared! Even as his heart went out to her, he smiled brightly at her appearance in the doorway. "Hello! Happy Christmas, Rose! Hope I didn't wake you..." he teased.

Rose wasn't entirely mindful of the bag as she flung her arms around his neck and planted a kiss to his cold cheek. She murmured back the greeting while stepping back to let him into the warmth of the mansion.

"Whatever it is, it's going to be brilliant. Better than anything I've got planned. Speaking of, why don't you have any?"

Laughing, Bod willingly accepted the hug. He loved hugs. "What do you mean, I don't have any?" he pouted at her as she closed the door. "You think this wasn't part of the plan? That I wouldn't want to spend some time with you on this strange-and-unfamiliar-but-generally-okay holiday?" He bit his lip, then, grinning like a fiend, confessed, "Okay, so I kept Neil up half the night, and he totally fell asleep on the sofa watching some bizarre Christmas movie where they started singing and dancing all the time. And I was wondering how you were, since last night, so I decided to let him sleep for a bit and come see you."
