Who: Lily and D?
What: Lily needs a kitty.  Lily goes to inquire about a job at the pet shop
When: Now! (or rather, mid-afternoon)
Where: the pet shop, of course!

Aternaville was getting to her.  She didn't know if she was supposed to be here.  Certainly, by all counts, Lily was supposed to be dead.  But they had just surpassed a year of her being here.  And what had she accomplished?  She'd been through Remuses.  She got to know her son only for him to disappear and come back and have to start over entirely.  Then there was Lee.  She frowned while she was walking, remembering Lee and the all-too-brief appearance of James.  She was back to wearing her wedding ring.  Or at least carrying it around with her.

She felt stagnant in this town.  The way one only could without any sort of purpose or sense of being.  She didn't know what to do.  Her son didn't need her the way she needed him, her friends were pretty much self-sufficient.  And Lily?  Lily was lonely.  That was the only conclusion she could come to.  Lonely without any sort of vocation.  And though it was never something she'd imagined herself doing before she died, Lily wandered into the pet shop, meaning to speak with the owner about some sort of job.  She'd been good in care of magical creatures and Lily was always a fan of animals in general.

A small bundle of fur, however, managed to distract her.  Lily stopped, nearly cooing at a practically newborn kitten.  She remembered when she and James had a kitten.  After a second or two hundred stuck in her memories, the kitten mewed, bringing her back into the world of the living, so to speak.
