The Doctor approached the castle in the park with his hands tucked into his trouser pockets. He'd been meaning to pay a visit, but he had to be certain that it wouldn't mess up his own timelines, or that of Arthur and Merlin. He'd met them already, but it was the future them and it was quite a bit of distance in the past, so really he hadn't met them yet, even though he had.
It made perfect sense to him if nobody else.
Uncertain as to whether he should knock or not, and deciding that it was easier apologize later than ask permission, he let himself inside.
"Hello?" he called. "Anyone home?"
The niceties out of the way, he stood in the entryway and waited.
