The sun was high in the sky by the time Bod emerged from the arcade, squinting in the brightness and shielding his eyes from the glare. Oh, but that had been fun-- he wasn't sure what was so addicting about that silly game, whether it was the ridiculous, repetitive tune or the little blinky lights, or just that feeling that if he had ONE more go at it, it would certainly work this time! And it had... each time, he'd gotten a little further, until just a few moments ago, he'd finally beaten the game. And it had only cost him four, maybe five hours of his life!
He sighed, stretching. It was nice to get out of the house, to feel like no one was watching over him. But then, he saw a familiar face on the other side of the street. One he wouldn't soon forget. He waved one of his long arms, vigorously, trying to get her attention. "Rose! Hullo, Rose!"
