Lulu wasn't exactly late. She was just...not so much on time. Being friends with Moira should've cured her of that habit, as her friend had a bit of a punctual streak, but Lulu was always set on about a five to ten minute delay from the rest of the world. It was something that she'd learned to live with by making certain that everything was started or thought of to be about 10 minutes ahead of time. Except she'd forgotten when it came to dinner with Richie.

Oops.

So at 6:05, Lulu was walking quickly down the street into the diner. She wasn't sure how punctual Richie was, if he was more of one for punctuality or tardiness. Actually, she thought, as she entered the diner at about 6:07, she wasn't quite sure what Richie looked like as a boy. Redheaded, she would guess. But beyond that...

Lulu walked in, hair down and wavy. Looking around for a second, she spotted a red head. Finding one that seemed to be hiding behind a menu, Lulu headed in that general direction. Crossing her arms in her dress, she smiled down. "Wouldn't ( ... )

Richie started to get nervous at three after, though he knew there was no reason to do so. After all, his friends were always late. He was just more nervous about this meeting than he was about meeting his friends. After all, his friends weren't girls.

For all that, he was actually trying to decide what to order when he heard the female voice beside him. He smiled and set the menu down, eyes widening at how pretty Lulu was. "Wow! I mean, uh, hi! Yeah, I'm Richie. And you must be Lulu." He stood up, because that was what boys did when girls came in the room. "Um, please. Have a seat."

"Yup!" Lulu grinned as Richie stood up. That was something that she'd never fully gotten used to. Boys standing up for girls. Psmith had done it. Zak did it, too. It just wasn't something that happened in the 21st century much for Lulu. "Sorry I'm late," she started, sitting down. Actually, for her she was rather on time but not for the actual time. "I sort of tend to be a bit late. I meant to be on time, which is why I'm not that late, but...right. Sorry." Lulu pushed her hair behind her shoulder with a bright smile toward Richie. Who had been sufficiently taller than her when they were standing. Not that it was unusual for a boy to be taller than Lulu.

Richie smiled warmly at Lulu. Gosh, she was pretty. Had he thought that already? Probably. It wasn't as if it weren't obvious. "That's okay. I was just looking at the menu. Don't worry about it." Ooh, smooth. Don't worry about it. That sounded very cool. He was doing well so far.

Richie sat after Lulu sat, wishing that he could've pulled out her chair. Too bad they were in a booth. "Anyway, I'm glad you could come. You, uh, you look really pretty. Like Lana Turner." Which was what that dress reminded him of...her sweaters.
