Poor Moira. Zak hadn't meant to leave her entirely with the kiddo while his pop and Laura went out for the week. He just--

Well, no. There was no excuse. Lee was gone, and Zak knew that he was going to go. Enough with the moping, kid. That was why he was determined to get out and about again. Starting with the girls' abode. There was a quick knock on the door, but Zak let himself in. He walked through, "Moira?" Called out. Then he gave a low little whistle for Niamh. She'd lead him to where the witch was.

Tamara had, at that moment, decided to spit up. Of course. Thank goodness for the towel Moira had been wearing, however, Moira still had to clean herself and Tamara up. "Honestly, I don't know how your mum does it, grá," she told the little girl with a haphazard smile. Moira was certainly not ready to have a child soon. Much as she loved Tamara, and adored being her godmother, she was certain that she would not be able to handle a baby permanently. Thank the Goddess, she'd slept through the night.

Niamh heard Moira's name being called by her favorite person (even more so than the witch and bounded toward the whistling figure. She jumped on Zak excitedly. The pup barked happily at the sight of someone who played with her.

"How's my favourite girl, huh?" He grinned and immediately leaned down, ruffling up Niamh's fur a few minutes in hello. Extra attention was paid, because Zak remembered that Moira had mentioned the puppy seemed jealous of the baby, and then he lifted his eyebrows. "So where's Moira, huh?"

The pup yipped again and headed toward where Moira was playing caretaker. Zak stopped and watched her for a minute, a quirky grin appearing briefly. He was not ready to be a parent either, he decided. Not here, anyway. Coming over, he gave her a kiss on the cheek. "How's baby-watching?" Eyes turned to Tamara then, "Hey kiddo. You're not giving Moira too hard of a time, are you?"

Moira smiled as Zak appeared and gave her a kiss. "Exhausting. And yes, she is. But she's trying to be good, mostly. Have I mentioned that I'm glad I'm only her godmum? Because I am not cut out for this full time. I don't even know if I should bother changing. She's set to eat and I'm bound to get food all over me." She loved the little girl, despite it all. Tamara squealed at Zak's arrival.

Sir Edward didn't know much about dogs. And yet, somehow, he had acquired one. A very lively black and tan puppy, who had come across him while he was working on the Indie (and had consequently gotten yellow paint pawprints over the newly scrubbed decks).

He didn't intend to keep the bugger - just hold on to him temporarily, while he figured out who the pup belonged to.
But first, he needed some help. Which was what he was doing outside Moira's house.

Cursing under his breath a little as the pup wound itself around his legs (again), Pellew knocked on the door.

Handing Tamara to Zak for a moment, Moira headed to the door, Niamh at her heels, excited that Moira was not with the baby at that moment.

She opened the door, surprised to see Sir Edward and...was that Jake? Certainly looked like him. "Sir Edward! How are you doing?" she replied. "Would you like to come in?"

Sir Edward couldn't help giving a sigh of relief, when the door finally opened. "Rather well, considering," he said. "The Indie still needs a fair amount of work done to her." The dog in question was dancing around his ankles, and Pellew couldn't help trying a bit of magic to stop the lead getting too tangled. He was getting reasonably good at it, actually.

"And you are just the lady I wanted to see," Sir Edward continued, trying to keep out of the way of the lead (and the pup attached to it) as he made his way inside. "You would know something about dogs, am I right?" he asked. "Because as you can see, I seem to have acquired one."

Niamh barked playfully at the other dog before hiding behind her owner's legs. The poor thing was a bit scared of Jake, seeing as he was a bigger dog.

Moira couldn't help but smile at the little display of magick. It seemed to be coming quite easily to Sir Edward. "Am I? Yes, I know a bit. When I got Niamh, I went a little dog information crazy." Moira nodded, bending down slightly to pet Jake and accidentally causing Niamh to become even more jealous. Rolling her eyes, Moira picked up the pup. "She's been in a weird jealous sort of mood lately. Where, praytell did you manage to find him? He looks quite like another dog I've seen." Moira led Sir Edward and Jake into the living room where Zak and Tamara had been.
