Her first instinct (which was almost always the one River followed) was to jump and almost tackle the Doctor to a slushy mess on the sidewalk. It seemed to be how most of their meetings started, lately. Hugging him around the waist, River pressed an earnest kiss to his cheek.
"Nuh uh, did not," the Doctor returned, tugging lightly on River's hair and grinning. He stepped back to look her over, making sure she was dressed appropriately for walking to the ice cream shop.
River spun a bit and glared appropriately. But it wouldn't be long before she was smiling again. "Wearing your coat." The very same one he'd left with after bringing her home to Kaylee. She still had vague memories of that night, shrouded in impenetrable fog, but had come to terms with their inaccessibility.
The coat, for a different matter.
It fit her far better than it had before, thanks to Ianto's precision tailoring, and added to the mismatched gypsy-like feel of her colorful wardrobe. She refused to go anywhere without it.

That was indeed his coat, only fitted to her smaller frame.
"Looks good," he grinned, straitening her collar and offering River his arm. "Shall we go?"
