Trouble in paradise never sounded good.

The Doctor walked through the streets of Aternaville, his hands pushed deeply into his trouser pockets. It was cold out, but he barely noticed it. Once again he'd let himself be distracted and lost track of the people around him. He really hated when he did that, because it usually got him in to trouble with someone, and getting punched had a tendency to hurt.

But now, he was playing catchup. First with River, then Chloe, then Clarice. And somewhere in between all of that, he needed to pop in on the Master and make sure he really was behaving himself. He may claim to be doing so, but you really couldn't trust the Master on that score. If things went really well, he might even get to spend some quiet time with Rose.

The Doctor stopped dead in his tracks.

"When did I start wanting quiet time?" he wondered aloud before shaking his head and moving on.

He turned the corner on Kaylee's street and saw River waiting outside for him. His face split into a huge grin. "I found you," he called, beaming at River.
