As it started out, I was chasing a woman who appeared to have stolen a diamond necklace, one with rather small stones. I was angry at how easily she was evading me because damnit, it was my job to stop her and get that damn necklace back. I had weapons, gadgets and cunning at my disposal, yet she seemed to lope away like an antelope over rocky ground. I think I was chasing her over a mountain.
My perspective shifted so that I was the girl-thief, who was as I am in the waking world: same parentage, same personality--only rich and a little bit famous. There was some kind of party going on that required a bit of skullduggery on my part in that I didn't want the crazy-looking man to know who I was. I could see Airen skulking around a bit amongst the other party-goers and knew I'd need his help to get out of this; there were enemies in the room. I ended up cornered by the crazy-looking man who was insisting that I was exactly who I said I was. I denied it, of course, citing my clothing as proof: would I really be dressed like this at a party of this magnitude? Of course, I was wearing dirty white shorts and a stained t-shirt, which helped my case. The man backed off and I was free to do as I needed.
What I needed was to get out of this party. My father seemed not to know that I was in any kind of danger, so I suspect he himself was in no danger. Airen and I needed to escape, though. I remember fingering the necklace from earlier in the dream and smiling secretly to myself, knowing I'd outwitted the man who'd been chasing me.
As for the fanfic, I've been writing little bits at a time. I've begun a second chapter. Sonya, if you'd like, I'll send you some updates once I get them typed up. Hand-written pages are now at twelve, so I've written quite a bit and it still needs some heavy editing and expansion of certain details.
