Today in Human Sexuality my professor first asked us to make a list of what we found attractive and unattractive, and then he asked us to make a list of what we found sexually attractive and unattractive.

I had trouble thinking of things. Mostly because what I find attractive and unattractive is such a broad category. Everybody else was furiously writing down things, but I was sitting there, pondering what I should write. Certain things crossed my mind, such as "likes video games", but that kind of stuff isn't really "attraction." My list approximately came out as follows:

Attractive:
-----
Confidence
Intelligence
Humor

Unattractive:
-----
Arrogance
Snobbiness
Lack of Self-Respect

Sexually Attractive:
-----
Confidence
Flirtatiousness
Short Height/Petiteness

Sexually Unattractive:
-----
Arrogance
Overly Thin
Bad Hygiene

We were asked to pass in our lists, anonymously except for specifying our gender and which gender we preferred, and the professor then read some of the lists out loud. Lots of the guys, under sexual attraction, said things like "nice breasts", "nice butt." Of course breasts and butts crossed my mind when making the list, but I found that isn't really part of sexual attraction for me. Well I mean, of course, during sex or sexual activity, breasts and butts would be nice. But the fact of the matter is, all girls have both, and those things aren't a selling point for me, even sexually. They're nice options, and I enjoy boobs as much as the next guy. But there are so many other things that are a turn-on, so to speak, that help me enjoy that stuff more.

There really isn't a point to this entry. I just thought it was an interesting exercise.
