We're well into February, and our winter has been rather mild so far. (As these things go. We've still had bouts of windchills around -50C, and weeks of temperatures hovering around -20C.) It's not the brutal cold of last year, and we've hardly gotten any snow at all.
But winter is starting to grate on my nerves. I want to go for walks outside without worrying about frostnip.
So, we've been spending lots of time inside, with the cats.
When we were shopping on Saturday, I picked up some flowers on a whim. They're still hanging in there, and bring a nice dash of colour to the house when we really need it. I may keep doing this as winter drags on, just to remember what green looks like.
A sad story. On Sunday I made chocolate zucchini bread. I set chocolate zucchini bread aside to cool. Then I had to move chocolate zucchini bread. I dropped chocolate zucchini bread on the floor, behind the table, where the floor is gross. Then we had half a loaf of chocolate zucchini bread. :(
Derpy. That is all.
A DVD recommendation that caught my eye at the library yesterday.
Finally, tonight's dinner of tofu korma. Nothing special: sauce out of a jar, fresh veggies and tofu, served over rice. Quick and healthy.
