Dec 31, 2009 20:19

Another decade has come and gone, and this one has been particularly eventful. Like, a lot eventful.

Some highlights:

Dec 31, 1999: I traveled to Chicago for a kick-ass Y2K party. I roomed with plonq.

February 2000: I got engaged.

Summer 2000: I applied for a Canadian visa and planned a wedding. Very stressful.

March 25, 2001: I quit my bus driving job forever.

March 31, 2001: I got married.

April 2001: I moved to Canada.

Summer 2001: I made my first trip to the West Coast.

Sept 11, 2001: I had a job interview, my first in years and years. Some other stuff happened, too.

Sept 19, 2001: I get my first non-bus driving job in years and years, at a call centre.

September 2002: I got promoted.

January 2003: I made a lateral move at my job.

July 2003: I was a matron of honor at my best friend's wedding.

December 2004: Jaws, going against her name, had most of her teeth removed.

January 26, 2005: We lost a beloved friend, Bit.

March 2005: Bella came to live with us.

May 2005: I picked up a little game as a diversion.

August 2005: We met a little kitten who would later take a huge chunk of our hearts.

October 15, 2005: Merry moved in with us permanently.

August 2006: My department at work was shut down, and I moved onto a "better", higher-paying position.

October 2006: Jaws had the rest of her teeth removed.

April 12, 2007: I became a Canadian citizen.

April 2008: We bought a new car, and retired an old one with honors.

Fall 2008: I quit my old, hated job, and went back to school.

It's been packed!

Hopefully the next 10 are just as interesting. :)
