Another year has passed, and I think it's time to indulge in excessive nostalgia in the form of a list of things I've learned this year. All of these allude to an event or a series of events; interpret it anyways you want. (And of course, this list is by no means exhaustive or uncensored.)
This year I've learned:
- that I have bad memory, but I think I learned that last year,
- that I rock at hockey pools, despite my lack of knowledge in hockey,
- a little about heroin, cocaine, benzodiazepams, lysergic acid, methamphetamines, and cannabis,
- that Hong Kong is cool, but not for me,
- a lot more about pericarditis,
- that one cannot win a game of Survivor against World of Warcraft; it WILL outlast you,
- to put the toilet seat down,
- that I can recognize a girl from her legs and shoes, but not her back or hair,
- to sabotage a study group by being a huge distraction,
- that at age 22, I can feel old,
- that there are perks of public transit (oh, random novel-reading girl, you remind me of economy girl),
- that there are many, many disadvantages of public transit (creepy old brown guy), and
- that work time is best spent making up this list!
