oh that's a long story! Marcus and I love this cartoon called Undergrads, and one of the characters, Gimpy, decided to take an alias, G', when performing pranks on his RA. With this name came a secret identity, and a whole costume to match it! My name is Liv, so I wanted to be L-prime. As it turns out L' IS a command for Asir. The function lprime() can return one of 999 primes which are 8 digit sized and indexed so that the larger one has the smaller index. The two function always returns 0 for other indices. So I tried to learn as many prime numbers as I could. Since I didn't have much time to learn high digit prime numbers, I dressed slutty to distract people (jk) It worked, nobody asked me for prime numbes :P
a complex mess of pie that'd spontaneously exploded exponentially out of the oven and onto one's dress? And one's date (one's complex conjugate) could wear some sort of rainbow dress, symbolizing "unity".
Seriously, that level of geekdom would have flown well at my undergrad college. Sadly, I've rarely encountered it since. :(
I remember that you mentioned you were once a PhD candidate ( am I wrong?).
That is one of my favourite things I love about Marcus's career choice. Ohhh the geekiness level! Psychology geeks just don't have such geekiness to them :)
Me? I'd have proudly represented as 1-e^(i(pi)). People just don't understand the complexity that is zero. :)

*grin* it wasn't enough to choose a number/formula/mathematician, it was a costume party ;)
