Liberal Show down

SO I am hooked to the tv, watching political commentaries on the Liberal leader vote. Oh this is better than being in a candy store!
I didn't stay home to watch all the speeches though :( I had a shopping/dinner date with Ana and Ingrid. We tried to shop at Gap since one of our friends works there and gave us a 30% discount. The first challenge of the day was finding the gap, being that none of us had ever been at the Gap.
When we FINALLY found the gap, we were horrified by the ugliness and the cost of the clothes. We were there for a wooping 5 minutes when we decided we were overwhelmed by the sandy colours and greys, and other washed up terrible fashion crimes. We then went to Lush to buy awesome organic soap and lotions ( they have THE best massage bars in the world. Honestly, once you have Lush massage bar, your sexy massages will reach another level!). The icing of the cake was lululemon ( my new obsession) and got myself a pretty new yoga outfit :)

I'm currently a research widow. Marcus was supposed to join us for dinner, but the poor boy is stll in the lab writing away. He leaves for Vancouver Monday morning, for a conference, and then to Whistler for a workshop. He also has a paper deadline looming. Oh we are so in Brasil countdown. It will be amazing not to have a million in one things to do.

I met a professor today about a potential research. He seemed to really like me and my ideas. But who knows. I will have to wait till next year to know more.

I cannot believe that it has been a week since Marcus's surprise party. I spent over a month planning it. It was so awesome. I organized a pretty kick ass scavenger hunt if I may say so myself, with tasks, and Comma Sutra poses for every location. The teams did great. Once they arrived at the party I had hot apple cider with rum waiting for everyone. This was a math themed party (of course Marcus had no number being that he didn't know, so he was "undefined") . We had the regular numbers, such as 2, 3, iv, v, and 9. We also had pythagoras, math prof, pi, 666, binary, 69, number table, and me (L-prime). Some uncool people didn't have a number ;)

Anyway after a month of planning, it was awesome drunken, math fun :) and he WAS so surprised.
