Hey all, first post here and such. I was joking around with my friend on IM last night and doing a funny commentary of the scene in which ( spoiler here )
By way of introduction and if nobody minds.wadjet_thepervJanuary 3 2007, 23:48:23 UTC
There's a darkness to him because he knows too much and has seen too much. That's the feeling I get, anyway. He's also seen death and knows what lies beyond, and that scares the hell out of him. He realises that this is all we have and we should embrace it with every atom inside us. I really think this is where his intensity springs from. I see the same darkness and intensity belied by quick wit and humour in this Doctor, too and I have to say it's quite the turn on in both of them!
Jack reminds me a bit of Methos. Someone who'd been there, done it, killed it, shagged it and was immortal. Living that long, seeing those you love die while you continue (had a little experience of that myself), and not having the risk of death hanging over you (not that part, obviously!), it would have to change your perspective on *everything* I would think.

When one has two kids, two dogs, no partner and only 24 hours in the day LOL
Trouble is, when I get into a new fandom, I... well... I just have to write! So far, I've written slash in Babylon 5, Stargate SG1 (loads of that) crossing over with The Sentinel too, I've beta'd in Oz but not gotten around to it yet, Stargate Atlantis (just started that thanks to a so-called mate!), and NCIS, not to mention being irresistibly drawn to Josh/Sam on the West Wing, which I've also just gotten into. Oh yes, and I just in the last hour started a Jack/Ianto from Ianto's POV after watching the finale AGAIN and not being able to stop myself.
I know a tidy house is the sign of a broken computer, but darn it, I have to sleep too!! ;o)
