... (Sort of) additional money ...

So, in Indonesian culture, there is this activity called Arisan

Arisan = gathering activity where a number of people meet regularly (once a month, once every two months, etc). In each meeting, people will "collect" money in a sum that have been agreed beforehand - and at each meeting a name will be withdrawn and that person will get the money. The meeting will continue on agreed time until ALL name have been withdrawn, meaning all will get a chance to get the money

So for example, there are 10 people committed to it and they agree to each collect US$10.Then there will be total 10 times of meeting and in each meeting, one person will get a total of US$ 100. It's pretty much like saving in a bank but without interest ^_^. Do you understand the concept, my non Indonesian flist? :)

Anyway, today, my mother's side of the family met for arisan. And guess whose name came up for today's gathering? Yes, yours truly :). It's a good time too because I will be having a work trip soon and I can use that money for some sight seeings. Plus, it totally helps me to pay my VISA bill this months.

Since the gathering took place in Bogor, a town about one hour and a half from my parents' house, which also known for its bags and shoes outlets ... check what I got for myself today.

I need a new bag because my current one is starting to get pretty ugly *g*

By the way, I finally watched Life on Mars, the original U.K. version. After 3 episodes, I decide that the original version is WAY MORE SUPERIOR than the U.S. version

+ John Simm, the actor who plays Sam Tyler in the original version to be more interesting - he is more conflicted, confused with his state of being in 1973 and more sympathetic than Jason O'Mara, whom I think is a bit deadpanned (which is a shame, because Jason O'Mara was brilliant in The Closer

+ Philip Banister, who plays Gene Hunt in the original version is totally LESS annoying than Harvey Keitel. Harvey's too old as well. John Simm and Philip Banister's characters have that chemistry (and respect) of one another, compared to Jason and Harvey.

+ Liz White, who playes Annie in the original is WAY MORE loveable than Gretchen Mol, who seems too stiff for me. Also John Simm and Liz White has beautiful chemistry as well - Jason and Gretchen, not so much

+ The original version have a touch of humor, mystery, spooky scenes, and great drama. It makes the U.S. version looks like a cheap imitator

With this, I prefer to watch whole 16 eps of the U.K. version rather than the U.S. one

Can't wait for the newest episode of Brothers and Sisters ♥!!! In the mean time, I have been rewatching episodes of The Closer. I LOVE that show!
