I am emerging to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to such a dearest friend,
tea_sky. I hope you get the virtual gift :). I meant every word I say there.
By the way, I am going to give a new RQotD ...
RQotD: Random Question of the Day
Do you have allergy? If yes, what are you allergic to?
I am allergic to acetylsalicylic acid (Aspirin) and ibuprofen. Consuming those can make me swollen like a hippo. I usually consume Panadol (which contains 500 mg Paracetamol) to treat my headaches. But after consuming like 6 pills and my headache hasn't disappeared, I was forced to try finding a new analgesic. I mean, yesterday was my 2nd day of having a huge hammer bludgeoning my head. Try walking around with constant headache for 2 days straight. It wasn't pretty!!!
So, I went to a drug store, and I must read the contents carefully. I was thinking of getting Panadol Extra (with 500 mg Acetaminophen) but I never try that one before, so I don't know if I am allergic to it or not. In the end, I chose Bodrex Migra - which contains 350 mg Paracetamol and 150 mg Propifenazone (at least it still contains Paracetamol).
The result ... well, the headache has subsided. THANK GOD!
Oh, I have watched 3 more movies this week ... GO ME!
I am not usually on to horror/vampire flicks but I was dying to watch something "different". It was bloody but not really gross. Love the visual (lots and lots of snow) here. Josh Hartnett is cute ^_^. And well, I dig the ending actually - it was a typical heroic move, you know, sacrificing and stuffs, but the ending was sad and wonderful at the same time.
The movie translates the book amazingly. I'm already touched with the book but seeing the actual visualization of those words I read is better. It is sad and touching - some scenes are perfectly done. I think this movie is robbed at the Oscar by NOT being nominated by France to be their official entry of Best Foreign Language film. Sure, "Persepolis" is unique and different and funny, but this one is more humanist, I think.
Wong Kar Wai's first attempt with English movie. It is not a successful one. The story is too simple and it lacks the moodiness of his Hong Kong films. But the camera angle and visualization are still seducing - love Natalie Portman here (she looks like she is having fun!). Still worth it even if you think that Wong Kar Wai should go back directing Hong Kong films only (lol)
