since when should the present care
if the past is still infused with the future.
wouldn't it be safer if the past
stayed past.
or does the present wait for confrontation
(where time is forgotten.)
in hopes that it will be chosen
and it wins once and for all.
but the present might be so naive.
yet so aware. never blind.
eyes open looking to feel
so much more.
the present needs
intensity
like that of the past.
it aches for an intensity
where there is a reason for inhaling and
e x h a l i ng
or was all intensity
drained before the present arrived
and if the past still goes on loving.
will the present ever win.
will the present ever overcome the precedents.
or will it fall victim to timing.

it was once past vs. present.

and as past as the present may seem
the present is still the present
and the past just becomes further past.

the present is not past
and the past is not present
and roles will not be reversed.
and though the present will not be the future.
neither will the past.
