Eat Real Festival 2012

Sep 23, 2012 15:53

Holy crap. We went to the Eat Real Festival this afternoon and it was insane. None of my photos really show the crowds or the huge lines to get food. Plus, it was really nice out but sunny so I got a massive headache from being out in the sun.

Honestly I didn’t think it would be so freaking huge. I mean the lines were sometimes 50 people deep. And that’s just to order something to eat. I really wanted to try a place called Plum but I couldn’t find them. There were a lot of options but we went with lines that were short.

The husband had never had Sarano Burger but I had so I told him to get the sliders. They said they would make tofu sliders but I really hated their tofu burger. He really liked them.

I ended up with Curry Up Now with a naked Hella Vegan burrito. It was okay, I just didn’t know what to eat. I was hoping that Little Green Cyclo would have some of their good salads but nope, I was out of luck.

I was totally bummed because I follow Hella Vegan on Twitter and I sought them out specifically. Denied. I guess I shouldn’t have waited until Sunday afternoon to stop in. Oh well.  Inside had some pretty cool vendors, I bought some chocolate I’ll post about soon!
