So, today I was going to the endodontist (root canal specialist) at 11 AM for what I thought was a consultation. Turns out they just went ahead with the procedure! Surprise! I think my referral form from the dentist said to "evaluate", which is what they did, then decided to go ahead with the root canal. Joy!
They really aren't as bad as everyone says, especially since I had had one before, 3 years ago, I knew what to expect. Now maybe I will be able to get a matching gold tooth on my newly root canaled tooth.
The procedure was at 11 and he put some serious novocaine in the roof of my mouth--it's still numb! It's a good appetite suppressant, though, I haven't felt like eating very much all day. Hey, sounds like a new diet--the Root Canal Diet!
This is my Last Week of Freedom (TM) before I have to go back to school Monday. If I get really bored this week, I may go in for a little bit to get a head start on my room so I won't feel so behind when I have 25 meetings next week.
I have Becket again this week because Dave is in Seattle doing some work for Expedia. He is on to my plan of giving his pills to him with peanut butter, so I will have to come up with a new plan to outwit him. Dave suggests shoving the pills down his throat, but I would prefer something less violent and slobbery.
