So, yesterday I putzed around the house, reading (Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal), playing the piano, eating, watching TV, and met Diana at Logan's Roadhouse for dinner. We ate outside, I had shrimp and a salad, and Diana told me about her hideous day (a 2-hour commute! one way! and two employees out who were months behind on their caseloads!). Then, I met Margie at Jeanette's Bridal Boutique for her final fitting. It was all sorts of bridal goodness. She will look lovely in her gown, and her seamstress (Asian, of course), was hilarious. She told Margie she needed to watch more TV, that everything on TV was wedding or reality show. Then Marge and I went to Starbucks and talked more about wedding fun. I stopped by the movies on Mathis Ave. to see if I could catch Shrek 2, but alas, it was 7:50 and I had just missed the 7:25 show and didn't want to wait until 9:35 for the next one. I stopped by Peebles to see what the latest fashions for old ladies was (seriously, this must be where all the old ladies shop in Manassas) and finding nothing, headed home to read some more. Whee!
Today it's lunch in Reston with Dave, then a performance at the Lake Anne senior center with my Reston Chorale bunch (actually we have a name, The Candlelight Singers), and my drawing class at 7:30 PM. Tomorrow, visiting Mt. Vernon and dining at the Mt. Vernon Inn as payback for no A/C at Alyssa's wedding.
