[Kal not remembering her is an utter disaster. This is way more worrisome than both not having any powers or how Wonder Woman will react to someone taking her from Paradise island put together.]
It's me. Kara. Remember? [Trying to jog his memory she switches over to Kryptonian. After all if he doesn't remember her, he can't remember to chastise her about speaking English instead.] My name is Kara Zor-El, daughter of Zor-el and niece of Jor-El. I'm your cousin, Kal!

[Waking up in an unfamiliar place? Totally creepy. Waking up in an unfamiliar place with no powers? Totally sucks. Waking up in an unfamiliar place with no powers and your only living relative doesn't remember you anymore? Totally and absolutely heartbreaking and it shows on her face.]

Of course I know about Uncle Jor-El. I used to babysit you as a favor for him and Aunt Lara. [Her voice takes on a teasing tone as she adds on one extra comment.] I've changed your diapers before.
[She's always wanted to tease him about that, just to see how he'd react.]
I... guess that could be the case. You not having met me yet is a nicer thought than thinking you've forgotten all about me.
So, just where are we? This isn't Metropolis, Gotham, or Paradise Island, right? And it's certainly not the Fortress of Solitude either. [Pausing for a second she asks one final question.] And what happened to my powers?

You're a reporter, you live in Metropolis, and I'm not supposed to call you Kal. [Guilty look, she's bad about slipping up still.] You have a mean dog who doesn't like me and your best friend is this grumpy jerk with a lead lined cowl.
[She smiles then cheerfully.]
I think that about covers it. Oh! And you took me shopping, bought me a hot dog, and owe Batman a lot of money for that computer I accidentally melted with my heat vision. Sorry about that, it was an accident.
[Another pause to take in the news about her situation.]
Mayfield. Right, but how did they take away our powers? Is the sun herre different than the one on Earth? [Kara nods cheerfully.] That's riht. I'm from Krypton just like you.

No, the sun is yellow too. This city is... is not a nice place, Kara. You'll have to be careful. You might be able to slowly get your powers back but for now, they have been taken away. We're completely normal human beings.
[To be fair he already is able to fly but that's neither here nor there.]
How... how did it happen? How were you able to survive what happened in Krypton?
