[Action A | 1128 Taylor][Kara's never the most graceful when she's just waking up. So when she wakes up in an unfamiliar bed wearing unfamiliar clothes in an unfamiliar room - so it's no real surprise that both bedding and girl end up in a tangled mess on the floor

[From the stairs to the attic, the sounds of an eerie song can be heard. The stairs are down, but it looks like the lights are off.]

[The song is kind of weird, but it's really pretty too. Curious about what's making the sound, Kara climbs up the stairs recklessly.]

[Elizabeth stops and peers at the newcomer, her eyes glistening in a not quite manner as she tilts her head.]

Hello... Have you just awoken to this dark dream? Or, did you need a cup of sugar?

How can you wake up to a dream? I thought you could only dream when you're asleep.

[Oh wait, sidetracked from the point much. Back on subject Kara!]

I guess that's close enough. I mean, I woke up here. Wherever here even is.

Kal! [Given how strenuous things have been, calling him Clark is the last thing on her mind at the moment.] What's going on? Where are we? What happened to my powers?

[And then a more daunting thought.]

Diana knows I'm here, right? Because I've seen how she gets when she's angry and I really don't want to be dragged to Paradise Island by an angry Wonder Woman.

[Wow, let's pause this for a moment. 'Kal'? 'Powers'? 'Diana'?]

...I- I'm sorry dear, but I think I do not recognize you even if I apparently should? How... how do you know that name?

I've always known it. What are you talking about? I was there when you were born!

[Kal not remembering her is an utter disaster. This is way more worrisome than both not having any powers or how Wonder Woman will react to someone taking her from Paradise island put together.]

It's me. Kara. Remember? [Trying to jog his memory she switches over to Kryptonian. After all if he doesn't remember her, he can't remember to chastise her about speaking English instead.] My name is Kara Zor-El, daughter of Zor-el and niece of Jor-El. I'm your cousin, Kal!

Do you really not remember me?

[Waking up in an unfamiliar place? Totally creepy. Waking up in an unfamiliar place with no powers? Totally sucks. Waking up in an unfamiliar place with no powers and your only living relative doesn't remember you anymore? Totally and absolutely heartbreaking and it shows on her face.]

[Look who you just bumped into, Kara. She turns around, about ready to tell Kara to watch where she's going but then she stops. Huh. This girl looks sort of familiar. ...Why is she in her pajamas?]

I'm still not sure how I got here or where I am.

[Taking a step back, Kara smiles apologetically.]

[Good timing on her part? Because that doesn't sound like something she'd enjoy, no offense.]

I just woke up here, wherever here even is. [Kara smiles gratefully and nods a little bit.] That'd really help. I know where I'm not, but that's not going to get me very far.

[Fresh from a long day at the school, Hal almost runs into the young woman, skidding a little in the snow.]

Whoa, hey-

[Annnd those are pajamas. Concerned!mode is go.] Are you all right? You must be freezing.

[She skids a little too, feet scrabbling for purchase in the unfamiliar ground.]

I would be okay, but I don't know where I am or how I got here and-

[At his comment about the cold, she pauses and the look on her face is comical when she comes to this realization.]

You're right. I'm freezing!

[Her poor feet noticed this a while ago, the rest of her is only just getting the memo.]

My feet are like ice. Brrr. I haven't felt cold like this since I came to earth!

[Kara dances slightly from foot to foot as the reality of her situation dawns on her. Ow. Cold feet aren't fun.]

[He'll pop his head out of his room at the sound of someone calling out.] Hey?

[She stumbles a little, Kara hadn't expected anyone to be so close. Man not having super hearing stinks.]

Uh... hi? Do you live here? Because I woke up here and I'm not really sure why.

[You look sort of familiar...] Not really 'live' here so much as 'trapped' here. Welcome to Mayfield, the town you can't ever leave. Basically this place sucks you from whatever world you came from, you're stuck, you're normal, and bad stuff happens pretty constantly. [He looks so happy to be here, isn't it obvious.]

I'm Tim. Who're you?

[Sorry, you don't look familiar at all.]

But there has to be a way out,there's always a way out! Otherwise how did we get in? [She tries to sound assure and confident on this manner, but it doesn't really work.]
