[18] we can keep up the speed 'til we die

Nov 21, 2006 03:53

So I'm finally off medical leave, yay. Thanks for the drugs, Rin; they really did make a difference.

Appropriately enough, as soon as the hospital signed me off on the leave I was being hustled off to get briefed on a new mission. Figures, huh? I'm obviously a popular woman. There's more Intel to be waited on before anyone will be heading anywhere, though, so I need to get to know the kids I'm working with before we all head off to who-knows-where.

Shikako, we'll just have to take out jounin exam training on the road. Tracking and survival training is more what you need, anyway.

Sorry about the way this has worked out, Chiriku. But you've got an idea of your way around now, plus that map we got for you. Loser. Hopefully I won't be gone when you have to head back.

Kureno, remember that spar and a beer you promised me? I haven't had much of a chance to get back into heavy training; you'll never get another chance to kick my ass so easily. Now or never, buddy, pick a date before the Intel comes in or you'll have to wait until I'm back up to speed and less easy to own.

I'm never letting you talk me into piercing a body part again, Inosuke. My ears are still tender.

Kiba, someone needs to learn how to keep your brother in line. You're obviously falling down on the job. Get a fly swatter or something, you know, the ones with long handles? I hear they're useful for smacking around older brothers.

I'll be calling the team together in a few days. This means 'don't be late,' Shikako.

kiba, inosuke, chiriku, mission time, ic, shikako, kureno
