On the whole, I was a bit "meh" about the last couple of SJA episodes, I will admit, but, oh, this one...
Sarah Jane and Jo Grant are so awesome together. They made me laugh. Loudly. They made me tear up more than once. And they made me feel all warm and fuzzy, pretty much the entire time.
A few brief comments:
The Doctor would have loved Jo coming in and babbling all over his funeral service, much, much better than everyone sitting around looking glum. You go, Jo!
Also, Jo does not seem to have had to choose between domestic bliss and a life of adventure. Again I say: you go, Jo!
But, dude, if you're going to hold a funeral for the Doctor, for real, I say you damned well wait for the Brigadier to be able to come. If it takes him a month, you put the corpse on ice and you wait. He should have been there delivering the freaking eulogy, no two ways about it. That alone perhaps ought to have indicated it was a set up.
On a much more frivolous note: UNIT has become very lax about regulation hairstyles, hasn't it? Tsk. The Brig would not approve.
And in conclusion: He regenerated into a baby! Hee! Oh, Jo.
Cannot wait for part 2!
