The last Drabble of Boredom is for aurora_novarum, who requested: "Zhaan and Aeryn (season 1 don't spoil me!)--empathy and violence." Sorry it took me a little while to get to this one, but here it is.

The Things We Hate the Most in Others
Aeryn has proved herself to be a useful ally and a worthy companion. But there are times, even so, when Zhaan cannot help but look at her and think: Peacekeeper. Soldier. Savage.
Part of her recognizes this as uncharitable, and feels ashamed. Another part feels righteous, pleased to have this Peacekeeper to contrast itself with, content in the knowledge that the spiritual way Zhaan has chosen to follow is a far superior path.
Both of those parts are Pa'u. But somewhere underneath them, it is not the priest but the killer who feels true empathy for Aeryn Sun.
