Hey -- you're really smart!

Nothing deal-breaking came up in the home inspection -- a missing shingle, and a few nail pops that the sellers will fix before closing. Can I just mention how much I love this house? If what we went through with the first one was requisite to find this home, I don't even mind. I like this house THAT much. I'm very excited. Not so much about the packing and moving part, but the unpacking and home-ownership are pretty rocking.

Mom's going to take Cooper and Alex with her to the cabin so Aaron and I can get stuff done here (as is, the boys can unpack a box faster than I can fill it). They'll head up on Friday afternoon and stay until Thursday. Do you understand this? I am going to be childless for a week. I know I'll miss them like mad, and will call several times a day, but still, there is a tiny part of me that is kind of excited.

I have the hugest crush on Mika. Seriously, have you seen his lips? I want them all over me. Yum. Go watch the "Grace Kelly" video on YouTube right now and tell me he doesn't have a fantastic mouth.

I saw a postsecret a few days ago with a picture of The Book of Mormon and the sentence, "I immediately lose all respect for someone if I find out they are a Mormon." Nice. Yes, some of the things I (as a Mormon) believe are hard to believe. That's why it's called "faith." I don't ask you to agree with me, but I'd like a little respect, at least until you've given me a chance.

Cooper goes to the dentist tomorrow morning. They're putting him under light sedation. I can't wait to see my almost-five-year-old stoned.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix tonight. I'm excited. I've heard mixed reviews, so I'm just going with no expectations.

We are definitely supposed to be in West Jordan. Not only does the elementary school have an accelerated program, but the Challenger School (where we want to send Cooper for Pre-K, since he misses the deadline by 2 weeks, and because another year of "regular" preschool would kill us all) had a cancellation this morning, so he's in! We had applied and been accepted here in Orem, knowing that it was easier to transfer than to apply, but also knowing that the Salt Lake classes fill up faster. It was a risk, but obviously one that worked for us.

I wonder how Alex would do if we went to see Ratatouille. I've heard it's pretty cute. The francophile in me ne peux attendre (can't wait).

I have two new recipes for pasta salads I'm making for Craig's birthday BBQ bash tomorrow evening. I love trying new recipes. I can't wait to have *my* kitchen again. Have I mentioned how much I love our almost-house?

I have laundry, cleaning, showering, shopping, cooking, and child-rearing to do. I adore you all. Really, I do.
