I finally got around to working out again. I hadn't worked out in a week (since my mega workout last Monday). After a week of not working out or dieting, it seems so easy to just give up. Thankfully, Kyle went with me this afternoon. He can be a good motivator to get me there, but then hardly ever wants to workout as much as I do. *sigh* What do you do? Tomorrow I plan to get to the gym before he gets home.

My trust has been rejuvinated since I've lost a pound finally. Hopefully that wasn't just water weight. I have a feeling it is. My measurements are up....but then again it is nearly 10pm and I'm always bigger & heavier in the evening than in the morning. How do I keep this up? I'll be out of town Friday through next Thursday....working and traveling. I'll be in Cheyenne, the evil-eating town for the weekend and then leave for Florida Monday morning. Must. Eat. Salads!

I've been looking up calorie / nutrition information online for various places that we eat out. I am highly disappointed to find that hardly anywhere has information available to the consumers. Should I boycott places that don't have nutritional information available? That would cut out a lot of restaurants.

We watched that movie where the guy went on a McDonald's diet for 30 days. The effects of the high-fat, fast-food diet were amazing. The diet was actually causing liver damage comparable to that of an alcoholic. In 12 days, he gained 17 lbs! It took him approximately 5 months to lose the weight that he gained in 30 days. It's very believable. By Sunday afternoon, I could definitely tell the effects of eating out for 5 days in a row, and drinking 2 nights this weekend....though I didn't get drunk at all.

So yeah, this journey of mine is feeling kind of tough right now and I'm looking at a big hurdle in the next week or so.

studiodoctor is finishing the mixdown on Kolle's (Kolle, not Coles) album tonight. I got to hear a few clips of it this weekend, but I think he wants to totally finish the project before letting me hear the whole tracks. This Saturday was the RiNo open house downtown. This is about 40 studios in the River North District that open their doors for an afternoon, then there's always an after party somewhere with a wine and a raffle. They are getting more and more people showing up and community support with each open house they have. Blue Tower is the only audio art studio in RiNo, so people are always surprised when they pop their head in and find a recording studio. Kyle spent the afternoon mixing tracks and conversing with visitors. Ozlem and Gloria went around to the studios with me...and, of course, we brought Charlie with. They loved all the paintings and sculptures (mostly the studios in the Blue Silo building). We also checked out Bella Glass and the Ironton sculpture studios. I love the glass art! Someday I want a house that I can put in custom etched / stained glass windows and such. The after party was at Ironton. There they had a raffle for several prizes, including the famous "Wall of Wine". We didn't win anything. We tried to stay for the iron pour, but it just got too late and it was darn cold. Charlie was shivering in his sheepskin microsuade jacket. It was good though. They even brought on Flying Dog Brewery as a sponsor....which was a HUGE addition!

Anyways, Kyle's home and getting ready to snuggle into our ultra-comfy & warm bed. He brought home the mixes ...and I get to listen to them tomorrow! :D

Other news: I'm working on "crazy squares" and using up all my paper scraps, the Av's lost, Petyr's surprise birthday party was cancelled...but we weren't told so we showed up [late] anyways, Josh's new place is swank ...and it was good to meet some new people. (maybe Josh's roommate can get some jingle projects to Kyle for the Crush....) ....and moving cornpopgirl was the easiest move E-vah!
