(no subject)
2 hours left in my work week. It's been a busy week with a few ups and downs. One of the downs being the flaming, gaping asshole of an abusive caller I spoke to this morning. Gee, that was fun. Believe it or not, I managed to remain professional on the phone and NOT let him know exactly what I thought about his attitude. I don't take well to being treated as though I have a severe mental disability. Especially when all I did was ask him to repeat the spelling of his last name.
The upshot of this is thta our calls are recorded. I let a manager know the call number and they reviewed it, along with my notes in the call record that got sent to the client quality assurrance desk.
Then, as Karma would have it, the SOB called back. Whose phone did it ring to? You guessed it! Mine!! I identified myself by name and mentioned that I had spoken with him earlier this morning. Suprise, suprise, suprise! He was suddenly so sugary sweet that I think I have deveolped 3 new cavities just listening to him. Did he apologize for his behavior earlier...no. But I didn't expect him to. Still, Karma returned as far as I can see.
OK, so that made me feel a world of better.
Anyhow, planning on spending some quality "girl time" with a friend of mine. We're going to get our nails done and maybe a pedicyure and facial. OK, stop laughing. I can be "girly" when I wanna be. We may even drop all the way down into the sterotype and go SHOPPING! **gasp** For clothing!! So there.
Actually, I have spent my afternoon elfing around setting up a suprise party for her, so we need the day to get all prettied up a bit. I can't wait to see the expression on her face!
