I am one crafty bitch. And I feel the need to share.
I just started making earrings a few weeks ago, and here are the first three pairs I've ever made, in order.
I wish I had taken a better photo of these, but I can't do anything about that right now. The glass at the end is actually from these hideous chandelier light fixtures that were in my parents' house when we moved in literally ten years ago, and I've had a bunch of them ever since. More proof that I've always been and always will be a craft packrat.
Another pair made with old, salvaged materials. I don't know for how long I've had these purple stones--perhaps even longer than the glass chandelier pieces. Steven said these earrings are "funny." Shows what he knows.
These I made just last night, and they're my favorite. The starting materials: An old pair of star earrings, hooks, jumprings, and two charms I bought on clearance at a local department store. I didn't actually use the chain in the picture, I salvaged the chain from the old earrings.
Very nautical, wouldn't you say? These probably would've matched if they had had more than one whale charm, but they did not, and I think the earrings are better for it.
Yay for crafty fun, and there's more where that came from.
