Stefan and I have been working on his possessed cell phone problem lately, and we're 99 percent sure we've identified the demon. I took a quick jaunt to Arashmaharr this morning to get other opinions and see what info I could find out about it... it being the demon, Echo, which is neither male nor female. It manifests itself as whomever would

"You're right on time," I say, idly spinning the cell phone on the tabletop. I take a quick sip of my beer. "Have a seat."

I'm kinda nervous. What if the demon, like, manifests or something? No tellin' what could happen.

"Hi, Taffy!" I greet her. "Wow, looks like you have lots of stuff in there. Maybe we can find something that'll take care of this, finally."

"Astra has a book she picked up today, but we've just started looking at it," I tell her. "Maybe it'll have some more specific info about this demon."

I feel like a Sunnydale native now; it didn't disturb me in the slightest that she didn't exactly find that book at Barnes & Noble, but teleported to her vengeance demon headquarters for it.

I begin flipping through the pages. "From what everyone says, this Echo doesn't quit until it's driven you completely insane. It's probably a good thing Stef didn't answer his phone the last couple times it rang."

"Well, I spoke to someone who's encountered this demon before, and it doesn't. It uses electronic media to get what it needs to continue to survive -- you know, stuff like cell phones and televisions. Remember that old movie Poltergeist?" I shiver slightly; I'm a demon and that movie scared me.

"It feeds off of fear and insecurity... strong negative emotion. It's a presence. It doesn't have a corporeal body."

[stefan_d]

"Hell," I comment, "if we have to send the cell phone off along with it, I'm fine with that. Anyone who wants to talk to me can leave a message at the house."

So maybe I'm a little traumatized. So what?
