what not to wear
Yesterday I wore one of my favorite dresses. It's a short sleeve, empire waist dress that is really like a giant t shirt with a seam below the bust to give it a little shape. Comfy, cute, versatile, great shade of bright blue, no ironing required. I wore it with my favorite sandals and thought I was looking good.
But then when I was walking home, I saw Maria, my next door neighbor, out in her front yard tending to her roses. She's lovely. She's a nice Greek woman and a great neighbor. She looked at me and, I thought, was admiring my adorable dress.
Then she beamed...and asked me when I was due.
I guess that's maybe not the dress for me.
