Idol awesomeness
An insta-rec: phaballa has posted an AMAZING David Cook & Adam Lambert & Kris Allen story, Little Lies -- it isn't quite slash and it's realist and it's beautiful. If you don't read Idol RPF and don't know who these people are, read this one anyway, though you probably do need to know that David Cook had an older brother Adam who was fighting brain cancer during his Idol run and who died earlier in this year. Don't be scared, trust me.
And thanks to yesterday's fic meme post, I also found some more awesome Kradam stories by cjmarlowe and butterfly -- check out their ljs! jerakeen has some new stories too, yay, and just recced an awesome one by sprat! lordoftheabyss also posted an outline of a deathfic drabblet which uh, I then hijacked in the comments because I am fluffy.
I would also like to share this unbelievably gorgeous manip by hai_world because omfg. (I have rotated it because this way it shows up in the side of my browser and I can cover the firefox window partially and I see it out of the corner of my eye while I write.)

(I love my new camera omg. Canon PowerShot SX1IS IT TAKES 1080p VIDEO. Actually I watched back some youtube vids ripped off TV of the show and uh, I think my video of Little Lies performance is BETTER, seriously. Though mainly because I didn't randomly cut away from David Cook jumping on a speaker playing to the crowd, wtf cameraman. I am now sorry that I didn't actually videotape most of the performances because I assumed the tv footage would be awesomer.)
ALSO: hey, there is an Adam Lambert appreciation post on ontd_ai tonight @ 7pm eastern. (If you have never been to one of these, it is a little bit like -- okay, I started that sentence and realize I have no idea how to describe the experience. People all get into a single lj post and post piles of comments full of pictures and macros and discussion and fic, and it moves at the speed of light and frequently overwhelms lj's servers, and it's kind of good ludicrous fun much like the comm itself.)
And there is going to be flashfic writing! Go here to submit prompts (eta: tho you can also submit prompts live)! I don't know if the post will be locked to community members but it's open membership, so hop on in anyway. ♥
ETA: by flashfic here I mean SUPER-flash flashfic -- writing live while the thread is going! Doesn't even have to be drabble length, story outlines welcome, brief images, all is good.
