Ooh, awesome! I can't wait for one of my nominated movies to actually BECOME a fandom so it can be a stub. It currently has exactly 0 fics written for it ever in all time.

p.s. when will you be done with Important Stuff so I can bug you about fic? that is also a hint.

*sniffles and knows the pain of the non-fandom* :'(

And haha, bug me about fic anytime! I will never be done, I fear. D:

I already signed up for your other extremely subtle hint, man. There is only so much hinting a girl can take!

As an aside, I just wanted to. You know! Say thank you for all the organizing you're doing. <3. It's pretty damn awesome.

In keeping with the novel, but not most film and television lore, vampires could walk in sunlight but lacked their powers.

Never heard of the series (Luxembourg!), but this tidbit is really interesting.

Welll.... *coughs* I don't want to raise expectations here. I, um. I did a post about the series a while back, and that screencap there really kind of does accurately describe the series. It's more, it has the SEEDS of something interesting!!! *says earnestly*

*clicks* O_O

Well, I hope you find someone with whom to share a tiny fandom. *cough* ;)

That's Nick Knight in that screencap, isn't it. Oh, FANDOM.

Is it possible to link to existing stories in the yuletide archive for that fandom? This would be especially useful while the archive is offline.

Yes indeed, the bot is already doing that already. :D

I'm dumb and can't work out what I'm doing on the Fanlore Wiki (I will have to get someone to walk me through it sometime), so I'll answer here, just a few thoughts.

I like the idea of the bot creating all the stubs in one go, so they're there and ready to be edited. And I think it would be in keeping with yuletide if there weren't a minimum number of stories for a page to qualify for a stub - I'm guessing there are probably quite a lot of single story on yuletide fandoms.

Would people be able to edit the lj interest search link to direct links to relevant communities or posts?

Yep -- anyone can edit the entries anywhichway. The downside to "all stubs in one go" is there are literally thousands of Yuletide fandoms, so it will flood the "recent changes" page and overwhelm the regular gardeners -- so we are thinking for instance of saying "hey, we just made these 10 stubs today -- if you are into one of these fandoms please come over and edit!" and then 10 stubs the next day, and so on, just to keep the pace to something manageable ( ... )

Ah, yes, I can see why doing them all in one go would be problematic.

Thanks for the help! I set up an account a while back, and opened the Wilby Wonderful page to edit, but I was scared stiff of making a mess, so I chickened out!

Now, if only I could have a few gardeners following me around in my real life, clearing up any messes.
