Okay, the prize goes to whoever nominated this movie for Yuletide sight-unseen. Seriously, go see it! Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale are terrific, but they are not even the real stars of the movie -- the real star is the smart, fun, twisty script, which is just so well-written and clever that you would walk out incredibly satisfied if the acting and design was a quarter as excellent as it all was. Also all the supporting actors are just terrific. This should get a whole slew of Oscar noms if there is justice in the world, which there may not be, but either way, go see and enjoy.
