belated love
So I was up in DC this weekend, made the acquaintance of the Rivkid, saw many lovely people ♥, and then had an 11-hour trip home that included a two-hour wait at the train station for the next available train to leave, which proceeded to take seven hours to get to NYC, pulling in shortly after midnight, whereupon there were no cabs to be found and the subways were crawling along, so I didn't actually walk in the door until after 1am. *falls over dead*
Anyway, I am still not quite firing on all thrusters here, have scary impending deadlines, and the new computer arrived yesterday, so I of course have spent the last two days setting it up instead of dealing with any of those. *cough* Also, baking madeleines.
Now I am back up and running, I just wanted to send some love and thanks back out into the world for the virtual chocolates and the lovely comments in svmadelyn's love meme -- I had some ambition of posting a story for v-day, but, well, see above, although I have been making progress on various fronts. *is vague* Also I still owe comment stories, which I have not forgotten, so I can't offer more drabbles, alas! So instead I just offer virtual hugs and thanks. *hugs*
