Adjusting to home

Aug 22, 2007 14:40

Today was the first day of class. My first class didn't start until 12:30, which I like. If we have late nights at The Star, at least I can get some sleep in. We have to write quite a few papers in that class, which makes me a little worried. It's media and public opinion, which is funny since it's in the political science department. I guess I shouldn't be too worried since I may already know a lot of this stuff. We'll see.

Anyway, we had to introduce ourselves in the class, which was typical, but everyone decided it would be a good time to let the professor know their disinterest in doing well in life. Some douchebag announced he was an alcoholic. The professor proceeded to ask if he drank everyday. He said no. She said by those standards he wasn't. The DB said he was getting there. Real fucking funny. Oh well, more jobs for me.

I guess I just can't believe people say those sorts of things especially to professors. Have a little more self respect. It amazes me how people really don't give a shit what sort of impression they give off.

That's my gripe for the day. Forty-five more minutes until my next class...
