A brief thought--people like to compare the present generation in Harry Potter with the past one (the Mauraders, etc). Neville is often compared to Peter Pettigrew, at least in situation (though I think he's also a contrast because his choices are opposite, similar to the way Harry's are different from Voldemort's). Harry is "just like James" (except, I hasten to add, for the EYES), and Ron can be compared to Sirius. Recently I heard someone compare Percy with young Snape. Their backgrounds are different, of course, but I could see Percy being this generation's wizard who is drawn into the dark side and somehow switches back, perhaps redeeming himself and perhaps through selfish motives.
