I like it. The moments of sweetness (slower than Lance has ever heard him speak before) don't quite hide the sadness. Poor Lance is in a really tight spot, and Pietro can't help him the way he needs.

Are you British? There were a few phrases that stood out to me.

Yes, I am British: which phrases stood out? I'm used to people writing Harry Potter stories who need Britpicking that I don't stop and think about my fics needed Americanising... ^^;

The lead on the TV (we would say cord), the mention of queueing, and the bartender saying "love" were what I noticed. Also, I'm unfamiliar with the term "splash out," but maybe that's just me and not British at all.

Thanks muchly, will go change those. ^_^ I don't know about 'splash out' either: I know it's used sometimes over hear, but I'm sure I must've heard it on American TV at some point. *frowns* Argh, this fries my brain - I really need to actually think about this stuff before I write anything! ^_~

This stuff is very superficial -- hardly even disruptive. Your story's really good. I'm sure you've read Harry Potter fic you enjoyed dispite Americanisms that made you raise your eyebrows, right?

And I agree with sionnain that your Pietro voice is excellent.

Hehe, yes, but I'm a perfectionist to the point of being completely obsessive, so I feel the need to correct. I go back to stories I posted months ago and change words and things. ^_~

And thank you! I do love Pietro, he's just so much fun. I always find it hard to get a balance between him being a complete bastard and actually worth spending time with; I'm glad you think I wrote him well. ^_^
