My Family's Scary Inner Slashers...or not...

ME: *sighs* I love Remus Lupin. You just wanna pick him up and hug him and tell him everything's gonna be okay...
DAD: *coldly* He's not huggable.
ME: Yes, he is! He is now officially Britain's Most Huggable Werewolf 2004.
DAD: *facepalm*

MUM: *reads The Case For R/S by elwing_alcyone* I'm not convinced ( Read more... )

lol! ^_^

Actually, when my dad first heard about the 'adult edition' of OotP he asked if Harry and Hermione finally shagged in that one... and he was serious... ^^;

He knows, but I think he's still somewhat in denial. When my excuse for being on AFF.net was 'I was checking my reviews' he looked as if he was going to collapse, and he hasn't fully recovered since...

Haha, even if my family aren't big with the slash, they are rabid bookworms.

We had to buy 2 copies of OotP and then I read one and my mum read the other one, I passed mine over to my brother as soon as he got in that afternoon and my mum passed hers to my dad the minute he got in from work that night. ^_^

They're the first fiction books I've seen him read since he first read me 'The Hobbit' and LotR when I was like 5...

Haha, I need an icon proclaiming him Most Huggable now! ^_^

Speaking of, I adore your icon. Tis beautiful. ^_^

Oh. my. GOD. *dies again* I had never read that before. I think it would be safe to call myself I rabid S/R fan and I hadn't thought of most things in that essay...wow...it was so in depth and well written and there are quite a few people who I'd like to read that...

lol, I know! I'm the girl who went through the whole of OotP making notes on every slashy line she could find and yet I didn't pick up on half the stuff she did...I wasn't quite up to the stage of counting how many times they looked at each other, but still... ^_~

*tackles* Woo-hoo I'm glad you linked it!

I think everyone should read it. ^_^ It rocks.

Ha. Me, my little sister, and my older sister all have a slash obsession to some degree. I am the biggest slasher of the three of us by far.

Haha, I just have my brother, and he's not exactly keen on that kinda stuff...he reads some femmeslash, though, which is a start... ^_~

Still, we talk ( ... )

Thank you!

I was woken up yesterday by a knock on my door followed by the words, 'Has anyone ever written slash using a more literal meaning of Dementor's Kiss?' and about ten minutes later the words, 'Has anyone ever slashed Percy Weasley and Mr Crouch?' and in the Asda car park, 'Does anyone write Weasley incest?'

....Wow. Talk about a frightening way to wake up, eh? More literal meaning of Dementor's Kiss...HA...she really is on her way, isn't she?

And now...now she's writing slash of her own.

That's kind of cool though.

I managed to get my dad to leave me alone, though: I was on AFF.net and he asked what I was doing. I told him I was checking my reviews, and he kinda looked at me, blinked, and then said, 'You...you write adult fanfiction?' He's been too traumatised to complain since! If that had been me, I don't think I would have had the courage to say I'd been checking my own reviews. I don't care so much anymore about my parents seeing me on slash sites, but I ( ... )

It has recently been confirmed that Blaise Zabini is in fact a male character. Will we see more of him in the next few books?

That’s correct. You do.

Is this true? *demands* Wah, Kay didn't tell me.
