It is true! I have not yet fallen off the edge of the world, into the pit of despair, down through the halls of eternal polka music, beyond the chasm of the demon llama's, etc, etc, etc. AND ETC.
For my first post of the year of two-thousand and quatro, I will update you on the subject of our car wreck last year. We have a team of lawyers who are ruthlessly pursuing the driver of the vehicle and the owner. Charges were sent to the court of Texas this past week and then there are about 8.3 million steps before anything happens, but after a couple steps the lawyer's at Progressive (the owner's insurance company) might look over the accident info and say to themselves, "Oh shit! We can't win let's give them money and a house in the Bahamas." I'm not so sure about the house, but the cash is a definite possibility.
At Work.......
I am more than likely going to be promoted to *drum roll* "CLAIMS EXAMINER" *end drum roll (with symbol crash of course) * This basically means that I'll be making a dollar more an hour and actually have an easier job. As little sense as this makes, it seems to be the way things are organized at Community Care. The higher the job pays the less scrutiny you're under, and the less actual work you have to do. I have somewhat made my peace with this and am not currently planning to overthrow the rulership of the 7 story building and then take charge and rule with a cotton candy fist! (hmm that seems less threatening and sillier then an iron fist... oh well.)
The Car???
We borrowed money from my parents, who despite moving to houston over 6 months ago, sold the house they lived in here just a couple months back. We are now the owners of a 2001 Ford Focus! It has a 2.0 liter Z-tec engine and blah blah yak yak wooopie! Basically it has "zoomier" (more horsepower)and "zippier (tighter steering) then the Mirage that got squished had. It also has "buttons" (remote entry) and a "fin" (spoiler) The " " in those last sentences are how Kirsten explains these things in case you ever have to talk about cars or shop for one with her in the future.
