The day after.....
After a pretty nice Christmas with my parents, Kirsten and I decided, on Friday, to go out and get a couple of things we wanted that we hadn't got the day before. Sooooooo I start driving towards F.M. 1960 (which for those who don't know Houston is basically where you can find any store that exists just by driving straight) Come upon a stop light that is red......honestly I didn't notice the light as soon as I should have, and I had to put the brakes on a bit harder then normal......whenever I have to slam the brakes, I always make sure that there is not someone behind me about to squish the car. This time in the mirror I saw the grill of a suped up Dodge Ram.... *Crunchy metal sound hear* We got knocked through the intersection (I feel incredibly blessed that no one was coming through the intersection the other way) and i managed to pull the car over to a shoulder. Basically the back end collapsed like it is supposed to do. The back windshield shattered, the back seats were bent inwards a little, and I think it even chipped the paint! So our nice new car is now beyond a compact.(bad pun bad) Luckily neither Kirsten nor I were hurt beyond being sore for a couple days. Luckily my brother let us use his car to drive back to Tulsa on Saturday, and let Kirsten still go off to St. Louis on Sunday where she is working at Scottrade's HQ where she is wanting to work after she graduates! Yay! I am working overtime for the next month atleast, and dealing with the other guys insurance company. So I will be playing many games to de-stress, and will probably not post too often (not that I ever do)
