I didnt think they'd actually do it

So this is a blog entry to let you know that my workplace blocked Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, Perez Hilton, and other sites that I'm not sure about yet.

I dont have the internet at home except when I hook up Marc's work laptop and steal other people's wireless.

So I wont be able to blog, RSVP to facebook events, accept friend requests or anything like that as frequently as I have been doing. If you need to email me, send me something to aliciamille@gmail.com. Dont send me a facebook or myspace message because only God knows when I will answer it.

So yeah. If you write on my wall or whatever dont get angry if I dont write back right away. Also, my REAL blog that I have been using since 2004 that ISNT blocked is:

http://astanko.livejournal.com/

add it to your favorites. To be honest, the only reason I joined facebook and myspace is because all my livejournal friends stopped posting on livejournal...except maybe two of them. So I had to jump on the bandwagon to keep up with my friends. I digress....

My first reaction to this crazy business was to be angry. I mean, I am one of the most productive workers in my office and it stinks not to be able to take a break every so often and see what so and so is up to, or wish someone a happy birthday or whatever. Now I know it must have happened for some greater reason that I dont quite see. Marc and Jenna say it will give me more time to write for REAL (aside from blogging). I think it will just mean I will work more, even if I thought that wasnt really possible since Im a worker bee to begin with.

Anyways, on to real life stuff. Jenna's wedding shower was this weekend and it was so much fun! It was a lot of work too though. This is my first shower where I was a bridesmaid and running around, but it made me feel important. It's fun being needed and to put something on for someone else. I was the maid of honor in my sister's wedding but her and I shared a shower so I did zero running around...it was a fun change. I'm pretty excited to walk down the aisle with Marc this summer at the wedding. It's not every day one gets to be in a wedding party with their spouse.

It was great to see everyone on Marc's side of the family. We maybe go to Ohio once or twice a year so I always like to make sure we see as many family members as possible. I couldnt help but notice the growing number of babies and toddlers. It made me uneasy. Not gonna lie. Oh well, in Chicago I fit right in. Maybe in Ohio I dont....but I dont live there so it's all good to me. I wonder what its like in smalltown Ohio not to be able to have children....or to make the choice not to have them. Every get-together you'd go to would have kids running around but hey, at least you'd get to have a beer.

I digress more.

I want to tell everyone to stop worrying about the Swine Flu.

that is all. I'll post on here in maybe a week or so....'till then read my livejournal!
