Weekend update and such
Today I am getting a new video card. The one I have still doesn't work, despite the new power supply. It crashes the computer every time you start a game or any non-2D application. The seller is taking the card back and I'll get a refund, so instead I'll support the small store here in Krefeld and will buy a new one there. If that doesn't work, I can easily take my computer in.
The weekend was exhausting, but cool. On Friday night, I had a run scheduled in WoW, but at the same time had the car booked and a trip to Dortmund ahead of me. The run of Blackfathom Deeps took til 3 am, so the next day I was a bit exhausted. Both of us were, as Cinna had stayed up even though she didn't go to the run. On Saturday morning we drove to Dortmund in beautiful, sunny weather. We picked up my mom, planted flowers on my dad's grave, and took her back home. We spent a little bit more time, played with the kitten, and then headed towards Kaarst, to pick up our new coffee table at Ikea. At Ikea, they have a place where they sell single pieces and all sorts of random stuff. We found matching cups and saucers to our blue ceramics, for an awesome 46 cents per cup. Yay. :) We were totally rushed for time as we needed to return the car before 7 pm, but we made it.
The rest of the day we just spent chilling, as I had a major headache. I totally love Project Runway this season, but the last show just made me boggle. How can Vincent still be in? This guy is mental! And he kept telling people how he gets off on his disgusting dress, how it made him hot. Jeeeeeebus. Lock him away, now. Was sad to see Alison go, I think she has great skills and she was cuuuuute. Now Kayne is the last girl left on the show, hee. :)
Then I got scammed in WoW, but that should go into my separate WoW posting.
On Sunday, Cinna showed off her mighty skills at assembling Ikea furniture, which was hilarious. Both cats kept climbing onto the new furniture and were just way too nosy for their own good. It was quite the sight.
I get worried that now that Cinna has a riding share that I will get to see her less. I missed her a lot last week, and with me on 7 am duty, I have to go to bed so early. Suck. But maybe it's a good thing. I appreciate all the time I get to spend with her on weekends a lot more. And the riding share does make her so happy.
While I am rambling, I saw new photos shot during filming of L-Word season 4. Oh god, is it not January yet? I crave to see this show go on, yet at the same time I am filled with so much trepidation. It sucks to be a shipper! In any case, Jennifer Beals and Laurel Holloman both looked absolutely fabulous and the group picture shows more physical contact than those two have had since season 2. Heee. Oh TV gods, please reunite Bette and Tina in season 4. kthxbye
