It just snows here all the time! It never stops snowing!  For those of you who don’t live in Madison, it has snowed over 75 inches this winter, making it the snowiest winter on record since they started recording such things in the 1800’s!  it snowed last night, and traffic was a NIGHTMARE!  We had derby practice, but everyone was late because they could barely get there (some couldn’t make it at all).  And it is supposed to snow 6-13 inches on Sunday.

Last Wednesday we had a horrible snow storm- I think it was 8-12 inches.  My boss sent me home early, and while I was on the highway going home, my car just all of the sudden spun around 180 degrees!  There were lots of cars around me, but magically I didn’t hit anything. I was stranded on the median grass between the two directions facing the wrong way, stuck in a snow drift and the back of my car was partly sticking out into the left lane. It was one of the scariest things that every happened to me!  I called the police, and three officers arrived and were able to push me out of the snow drift, but they had to stop all the west-bound traffic twice! I felt so bad.

Yesterday I was on my way to work, and I was driving on a smaller road in the right lane, and cars were slow or stopped in the left lane, and out of now where a pedestrian appeared in front of my car!  I slammed on the breaks, but I just skidded in the slush.  Luckily he jumped out of the way-  I was so close to hitting him! I burst into tears, it was so very scary.  At this point I decided that from now on I am going to try to drive less. In this effort, I took the bus to work today.  It took an hour, but it was much more relaxing than driving!
