now to find the bridge
This song I've been working on has actually been around awhile. It's one of those I liked well enough to keep. The subject matter is very close to me and I really needed to write it. Still, it's never settled, some of the lyrics were awkward and dorky, first draft status and the melody sappy. So, as per my quest to 'finish' all of my songs, I've been aching over this one for a couple of weeks now; i've been hearing it in my head, re-running it like a tape over and over with slight variations, trying to make the chorus fit. I had to let go of the one part of the original version I liked to make it work. Maybe it can fit in as a bridge somewhere later on. Hmmm...
